The Codman Square Neighborhood
Development Project involved comprehensive environmental consulting services
for the accidentally ruptured feed line from two (2) above ground fuel
oil storage tanks (AST’s) causing a slow release of an unknown quantity
of fuel oil to beneath the basement slab and impacting the subsurface
soil and groundwater. Contracted by Marcor Remediation, Inc., of Wilmington,
Massachusetts, Environmental & Construction Management Services,
Inc.’s Licensed Site Professional (LSP) managed and directed
all aspects of this project in accordance with the Massachusetts Contingency
Plan (MCP) 310 CMR 40.0000 and includes the following environmental consulting
services:
- Phase I Environmental Site Assessment,
Tier Classification
- Soil Excavation Management
- Subsurface exploration, soil and groundwater
analysis
- Indoor Air Sampling
- Passive groundwater remediation via installation
of oxygen release compound (ORC) points in the area of the fuel oil
release
- Numerical Scoring System (NRS) and Tier

- Bill of Lading preparation for petroleum
impacted soil
