The John Hancock Project involved plans for the renovation of office space in Boston, Massachusetts. To support the proposed renovation, Environmental & Construction Management Services, Inc. (ECMS) was retained by John Hancock Financial Services, Inc. (John Hancock) to conduct an investigative survey and Construction Administration in the areas of proposed renovation.

ECMS’s scope of services included all hazard assessments, remedial design, and construction management activities related to asbestos-containing materials.

ECMS personnel performed identification, sampling and condition assessment of suspect asbestos-containing materials (ACM) throughout several areas of each building.

ECMS provided hazardous material abatement design plans and specifications necessary to facilitate the renovations required.

ECMS is also providing project administrative and construction management support including compliance supervision, inspections of contractor activities, and air quality monitoring during abatement operations.
